Vung Tau, Vietnam

Just as I thought Asia couldn’t get any better! This was definetly one of our favorite days so far on the round the world trip. I have never felt so welcomed to a foreign country then I did in Vietnam. Lots of smiles! Friendly warm people who are more then happy with the pressence of photographers. We started with the usual vibrance and hapenings of the local market.

Please click this image to see it larger as it looks great! I’m keen to see it printed A2+. A perfect moment of thought captured in forever. I loved the repetition of colour and pattern.

I suppose this hat is what you first think of when you invision Vietnam. Needed in the extreame heat!

We tried lots of new exotic fruit that day. Some I would love to find back at home.

This was half of it. Never knew this many types of rice existed!

This is a special dedication to Dan Baker….sleeping do you think?

Push and motor bikes are definitely the way to go in Vietnam! Interesting to see the amounts stacked up.

More amazing street food.

I didn’t even notice the person holding on to the back of the box until I looked at the image preview. Crazy! But amazing.

I have decided to Split the pictures up from the rest of my blog. These images are apart of my ‘strangers’ project I have talked about and displayed here previosly.

Has anyone got any idea why i took the picture below? Going back to contextual studies I guess you could call in the ‘punctum’.

Maybe a comment on where vietnamese society is at this time. Possibly where is is heading. Made me laugh.

I have no idea why I like the image below so much. I just feel he excepted my pressence that day. We can not see most of his features but at the same time see he is happy with me being there.

Hope you enjoyed. Blogging from Amsterdam 🙂

Hong Kong, China

I was lucky enough to have a few days in Hong Kong. I am sure I will go back there some day. An intresting vast City with plenty to see. We found out it was very east to get lost. A interesting place to shoot with many things going on around you at all the times.

This kid seemed very hyper and excited about something, with a very tired Mother.

Saw a lot of face masks in Hong Kong. There was a lot of smog in the city. Making it almost impossible to get a long exposure of the skyline.

A split moment when he looked up. He instantly attracted my eye…almost looking like half machine.

Some of the pictures below are from a great night market we went to.

Hong Kong is definetly the place to buy camera gear! Just wish I had more money at the time.

Ever City now seems to have ‘I heart’ t shirts.

Street food in Asia is definitely the best way to experience the taste of a place and country. Better then and restuarant we stopped at…amazing noodles!

People seem to sleep whenever and whaever they can in the bust never stopping City

A quick photo of Kylie as we were taking the water taxi over to Hong Kong island.

Anika who is now back home in Namibia.

Thank you all. Hope you enjoyed

A moment I had been waiting for a long time. My first time on the continent of Asia. A thing of dreams for so long which turned out as I expected…..a street photographers Paradise. First stop Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia.

The first thing that hit me was the humidity. I can cope in heat fine..humidity is a different storry. I felt like exploring something very local and seeing how other cultures live. I visited a floating vilage who are known as ‘the sea gypsies’. Amazing wooden boardwalks between all of the houses. Which I don’t think have ever seen my weight.

The shoreline of the floating village.

Lots of amazing local children wanting to meet.

Took a boat to a small Island.

This child had the perfect size hands for gutting fish. He seemed well practiced and very good.

Writing this from Cephalonia, Greece 🙂

I did not have a great deal of time to explore and adventure through San Francisco. Still enough time to go shooting though. I picked up on a very cool, funky and laid back vibe from this City. Just a quick blog this time. Much longer ones to follow soon covering Asia.

Pago Pago, American Samoa

Pago Pago is a beautiful tropical Island. I liked the feel of the island life and how exotic it was. It made me laugh due to the amount of wear your seatbelt signs, with no obvious local regard.

Another picture for my on going ‘strangers project’. I am inserting them into my regular blog posts. After time i will compile them into a project.

Took a local bus. Amazing open air windows with wooden roofs with local music blaring out.

I am trying to keep landscapes away from my blog….just couldn’t resist putting this one up at the end 🙂

All the best from Malaga, Spain.
